Tanya is a qualified lawyer and management consultant, having completed her MBA in 2003 at the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW) and Stern School of Business, New York University. With over 18 years experience in boutique law firms and management consultancies, Tanya has developed expertise in strategic analysis and problem solving, building strong client relationships and project management.

Her ‘big picture’ perspective comes from a depth of experience obtained across a range of product and service industries, many in complex regulatory environments, including pharmaceutical, aged care, healthcare, travel, defence, retail, manufacturing, business services, medical services and community services to name a few. This background, coupled with an eye for the fine detail enables her to unravel difficult issues, understand the drivers of performance for each business or industry and work with clients to design practical solutions that can be embedded in the organisation for real lasting results.

Tanya’s signature style involves listening to a broad range of views within the organisation, identifying areas of need, analysing external and internal information, conducting market research and communicating possible solutions, all the time working in partnership to get the team on board to implement lasting change.

Tanya brings her depth of knowledge and experience from other professional consultancies to jam solutions.  Some recent highlights in the healthcare services sector include:

  • In 2013, Tanya led the consultation, review and strategic options development for a large GP training services organisation. Through capacity building and organisational redesign recommendations, the team completed a comprehensive restructure and was successful in gaining the highest number of GP placements in its ten year history.

  • In 2012, Tanya and a colleague were appointed acting interim CEO for a large regional healthcare provider to complete a number of complex projects with key stakeholders including the Federal Government Department of Health, regional service providers, consumers and employees. Other projects included designing and developing a comprehensive data gathering and analysis tool to advise on professional development needs and priorities of general practitioners and allied health professional members, and governance and strategic advice to the Board.

  • From 2007-2011, Tanya worked extensively with a large not for profit organisation involved across Australia in the delivery of aged care, community care, education and welfare services. Tanya led the review into the sustainability of ten diverse aged care facilities operating in NSW, SA, Qld, Victoria and New Zealand in the context of the changing industry structure. Strategic recommendations developed through this project resulted in a number of mergers, disposals and restructure for sustainable growth. In addition, Tanya’s commercial and legal experience (including in franchising) was pivotal in advising on business models for expansion of their education services company across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Since 2013, Tanya has worked with jam solutions to conduct extensive market research and advise pharmaceutical and health service companies on market readiness, market sizing for products, services or licensing/partnering opportunities, market insights, new product opportunities and customer insights/clinical decision making priorities.
